Use your voice to call a contact
With the Voice commands application, you can use your voice to make calls or control
your phone.
Voice commands are not dependent on the speaker’s voice. Commands are
automatically created by your phone.
Note: Using voice tags may be difficult in a noisy environment or during an
emergency, so you should not rely solely upon voice dialling in all circumstances.
Before you start using voice commands, add a shortcut to the Voice commands
application on your home screen.
When you use voice dialling, the loudspeaker is in use. Hold the phone at a short
distance away when you say the voice command.
1 On the home screen, select
. If a compatible headset with the headset key is
attached, press and hold the headset key.
2 A short tone sounds, and
Speak now
is shown. Say clearly the name that is saved
for the contact.
3 The phone plays a synthesised voice command for the recognised contact in the
selected phone language, and shows the name and number. To cancel the voice
dialling, select
